This is premium quality shu pu-erh was made in 2007. The word Shu 熟 is derived from traditional Chinese medicine. It’s often used to indicate processed herbs versus the raw material. For pu-erh tea, it is named from the process of ripe pu-erh tea which involved the fermentation of raw pu-erh tealeaf. It has earthy / old tree's smell and smooth, nutty taste. Some people found it has baked plum's taste. Pu-erh tea has greater health benefits than other teas. Pu-erh tea goes through a special fermentation process that makes it very beneficial to the digestive system.
