A gaiwan is a Chinese lidded bowl used to brew tea leaves and the consumption of tea. The lid allow the tea to be infused right in the bowl and either drink right from the bowl or pour into pitcher/chahai. Gaiwan is the preferred method for brewing green or white teas as the gaiwan's porcelain absorbs the heat and does not damage the tea. They are especially common in the north of China for enjoying scented tea like jasmine tea.

All products are new and never used, so please clean them in warm water before use. We do not recommend use scented detergent for Clay Unglazed teaware. Lately you can use baking soda to wash away "tea scurf." We also do not recommend to wash our teaware in a washing mashine.
